Well isn’t this a hart project, what is?
Today we took the scooter to visit Koh Lanta Animal Welfare center. What a place! It takes care of cats and dog in need for help. They have them own vet . Clinic and ICU. A large cat garden and a large training area for dogs.
The day started with information about the center and the cats and dogs here right now. My heart bleed for the animals histories, what life some of them had. Some dogs were found high up in temples just shin and bones, no fur at all. And when we saw pictures of him when he was treaded it was such joy. After the introduction we got a tour around the facilities. It’s amazing what you can accomplish whit a dream and sponsors. Most peoples work there as volunteers. The facilities and schedules were impressive. We meet some of the dogs and could cuddle them on their term’s.
We meet some lovely animals and heard some incredible stories about the animals found near by. Often the animals are badly hurt or really sick when they a found. Everyday several cats come in just to be checked and for sterilization just to keep them safe.
The are taken care of and treated for their illness/injury and many of them a put up for adoption often to European countries.
During COVID there is one tour a day, gathering at 10.45. It cost 200 bath minimum, all money is used to the animals well-being/surgery and treatment.
The Animal Welfare center I started by an Norwegian women quite some years ago. To found money she is having cooking classes and the profit goes to the center.

This day really touch our hearts and I was strongly thinking of joining as an volunteer but it has to wait.
