Koh Lanta day trips

We took 2 day trips when we were at Koh Lanta. The first one we did on our scooter. There is a lot of hills on Koh Lanta 😂. We set of to the south we’re the national park is. When we arrived we made the decision to walk the trail in hope to see some animals.

There were a lot of steps in the beginning and for you who nome me, heights is NOT my thing. Not when you have a steep right down to the sea but it made a nice picture 😳

We climbed about 26 floor up in the jungle and if you think of 26 floors, don’t think it’s anything like our European stairs! NO one step could be 5 cm high and next 50 cm. What a workout! You also have trees all around you and some smal signs that tell you to look out for poison animals, but they don’t tell you how the animals look like 😟

Sometimes when you are walking along it’s note quite easy to know which is the right way. This bridge didn’t feel secure so we decided to walk around it!

Well after about one and a half our in the jungle not spotted any monkey we were finally back and what meet us then?

Welcome back he says Why did you go all that way to se me

After that we decided to drive to the waterfall. As I said this I an island with lots and lots of hills on the road. After the national park the scooter had real problems with the hills and finally it stopped and refused to start again. This was after I had to walk upwards for two hills. Henrik really tried to act as he know what was wrong. He doesn’t know a sh%~t about engineering. After a while we (don’t say who) discovered that the scooter was out on petrol!! So what do you do on a dusty road with no one to call? You try to get in contact with other on the road and thankfully a Dutch couple stoped and drove us to buy petrol 😂😂We drove a bit to the signs for the waterfall and started another jungle walk. When we walked about 20 minutes we came to a really high climb on some mudd wall with nothing to hold on to. That was to much for me and I decided to go back! The search for waterfall continues! We did see some abandoned restaurants on the way. Sad.

After the jungle experience I decided that it would be better to stay on safe flat water. We got on a snorkeling trip to four islands including the emerald cave. I can really recommend a visit to emerald cave. When you arrive to tha cave it’s just a hole in the cliff and you have to swim inside the rock to get to the cave. The sights were amazing ! picture will come. The snorkeling was good and I saw a water snake 🐍 for the first time. I know that they don’t bite so often but I’m also aware of them being poisoned😱

We had some great time on Koh Lanta but now it’s time to move on ! Phi Phi here we come!
