Not quite but it feels like it. Weâve been to Bali 3 times before and I truly love the island.
This time it was a little more hassle to get here. Sweden was not on VOA list and we had to make Visa before entering. We hadnât thought that should take so long so it was some nervous days before everything was settled. But now weâre here
The first nights we stayed in Kuta on Legian which is the Main Street. So much has changed since we were here two years ago. 80 procent of Balis economy is based on tourist and itâs been closed for tourist in two years. Everyone is so happy that the boarders are open and so great full. Everywhere we go we hear âwelcome back to Baliâ thank you for coming! We took some days to just relax and walk around our âold neighborhood, not much open on Poppies 1 and 2. Some places were and they told us that it used to come around 5 cars a day on poppies 2, a street that before was chaos with cars and scooters. We also spent some days on kuta beach , it was quiet but som surfers had found their way to the waves
Itâs obvious that Bali needs tourism and the whole Island is ready to welcome us back!
The first days were just having a relaxed time and looked around. The most exiting thing was a trip to IKEA. WOW how much havenât we missed meatballs with âlingonsyltâ. I also looked for Swedish herring with onions in glass jar but the didnât have it đ
We rented a room in a smal house in Canggu, an area that we havenât stayed in before. But during at this time it feels quite busy. Almost everything is open. A bit expensive for Bali and I think me and my husband have raise the age here with some years. A lot of young surfers here.
The main reason we rented a house was the fact thats nice to have a kitchen and some other space besides a hotel room. Itâs also nice to leave our big backpacks when we do day trips. Iâm going to tell you more about our amazing trips further along the road. Right now Iâm just chilling by our pool 2 meters from our bedroom đ As the crazy football supporters we are we have to adjust the time some because the games are played in the middle of the night here đ
